The Wilderness Unlimited Foundation was formed in keeping with Wilderness Unlimited’s long time leadership of maintaining traditional outdoor heritage, wildlife habitat enhancement programs and hands on educational programs. The Foundation will play a major role in securing the future of such programs. A not for profit entity (501(c)3), the Foundation will be primarily funded by donations, grants and fund raisers. The Foundation is overseen by a Board of Directors separate from Wilderness Unlimited. |

Work experience includes: seasonal USFS Nursery Operations, CA Dept of Fish & Game Inland Stream Surveying, and Ca Dept of Fish & Game Fishery Management Pesticides Investigation and is currently with Aerojet’s Environmental, Health and Safety. Volunteer: Ca Dept. of Fish & Game Advance Hunter Education Clinics and California Becoming an Outdoors Women Board of Director. |

Talia, PeterWilderness Unlimited Foundation Technical Principle Founding and past president of Wilderness Unlimited, a California corporation in existence since 1987 promoting the use of recreational properties for hunting, fishing and camping. Currently acting Susanville, City attorney. Also, practices family law, civil litigation including torts, real estate and business litigation and estate and business planning. |

Hernandez, CharlieWilderness Unlimited Foundation Treasurer Worked at Sears Roebuck & Co. as Regional Director of Personnel and Media Relations. Charlie was owner of California Fish and Game Magazine and is still a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of California. Retired from Pacific Boat Trailers where he managed Northern California Operations. Has been a member of Wilderness Unlimited for the last 12 years. |

Visger, GeorgePresident of Visger & Associates Inc., Consulting that specialized in biological assessments, special status species surveys, habitat restoration and storm water management projects, performs environmental constraints analysis and protocol level surveys for a number of special status species in California, Nevada and Oregon. Previously the Lands Manager for Wildlands Inc., the largest mitigation banking company in the U.S. Responsibilities included creation and management of large wetland mitigation banks in Northern California, coordination with regulatory agencies and community outreach programs. Active in the bird banding program (wood ducks, kestrels and barn owls), schools programs and ecological tours on wetland mitigation banks and wildlife areas. Attended Colorado University, receiving a B.S in Wildlife Biology. A member of the S.F. 49er’s 1982 Super Bowl Championship team. |

Mathis, Ryan
Graduate of California State University Humboldt with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Wildlife Management. He currently works as the professional biologist in California and Nevada. He has worked for the U.S. Forest Service and USGS in Alaska, Ducks Unlimited and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Ryan is a second-generation Wilderness Unlimited member. He was raised hunting and fishing with his dad, an original Wilderness Unlimited member. |

Meyer, MattWood Duck Program Graduate of California State University, Hayward with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Masters Waterfowl Management. Active in the Wood Duck Program: constructing nest boxes, training volunteers and identifying and supporting new projects throughout California and Oregon. Volunteers: promoting youth activities and preserving hunting and fishing opportunities. Currently self employed Painting Contractor. |

Bohner, Gene
Since the early 90's has been dedicated to the spirit of "Sharing the Tradition" and continues to give so many hours of his time providing a live fishing environment for kids of all ages. Every year he travels with "Lucy's Pond", his 24' diameter pond with an adjoining 24' river to many of the West Coast International Sportsman's Expo's and Youth Fairs in California, Arizona and Utah. Many kids experience the gratification of catch and then release their first fish - thanks to Lucy's Pond. |

His signature Double Reed Duck Call and Whistles for attracting whistling ducks has assisted hunters through out the country. A professional editor, radio and television show host & writer, seminar speaker, audio/video tape producer. He is a seminar speaker to shares his talents and techniques in water fowling, decoy sets, gear selection and safety. Professional credits: Outdoor editor and "Redwood Empire Outdoorsman" for KSRO Radio in Santa Rosa; Host & writer for the "Outdoor Gazette" and "Backcountry" television shows; writer and producer of audio & video tapes on duck calling and hunting, seminar speaker at ISE; co-host for "Pull America's Great Gun Clubs," Outdoor Life Network. |

Knight, Terry
Graduate of Baylor University, Texas. Served as the president of the California State Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and has operated a successful turkey guiding business for more than 11 years. Annually conducts several training seminars on hunting wild turkeys throughout Northern California and instrumental organizing the first Wilderness Unlimited Wild Turkey Seminar in 1994 then partnered with the Cal DF&G and the NWTF in 1996 which form the Wild Turkey Expo. A outdoor writer for 23 years and presently a columnist for the Lake County Record-Bee, Clear Lake Observer, Wilderness Unlimited Quarterly Flyer and staff writer for Fish & Hunting News. Both new and experienced hunters value his “how to” approached. |
